Summer Tournaments Finals

SUMMER TOURNAMENT FINALS. A wet start to the day last Sunday led to the postponement of the Plate finals, fortunately it dried up & the sun came out for Singles final between Luke Page & Owen Tudor. The score line of 6-0, 6-1 to Owen belies what was a well contested match with many close games. Owen was presented with the Tony Hockaday Memorial Shield.  

The Singles Plate final between Callum King & Tom Hitchcock was played on Monday evening, with Tom coming out the victor 4-6, 7-6(8-6),12-10 after 2hrs 20mins of play. On Tuesday morning the Mixed Doubles Plate final was another 3 setter with Leslie Bailey & Chris Harmer beating Jenny Evans & Matt Bale 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
